About Our
Speakers:

Allison Barksdale, MBA

Allison Barksdale serves as the employer engagement manager for the Delaware County Workforce Board.  While new to workforce development, Allison has more than 25 years of professional experience in service management, strategic planning, training, and leadership development.  Allison started her career in convention center management.  After earning an Executive MBA from Temple University, she ventured into entrepreneurship opening a combined special events venue, tea, and flower shop.  She also runs her own coaching and consulting business, RISE Leadership LLC.

Allison wears many hats.  Aside from her role in county government, she is a speaker, coach, and consultant.  According to Ms. Barksdale, "Regardless of your title or position, you have to take the lead in your career and in you life."  She encourages everyone to R.I.S.E! - Reach. Inspire. Serve. Elevate!

Working with Delaware County Workforce Development Board has given Allison the added benefit of serving both job seekers and business owners by connecting them to each other and to the resources that stimulate workforce development and economic growth.  She is quick to point out, all of these resources are free!
